Frolic 2018 kicks off July 11

Join the Lees-McRae family in celebrating Frolic 2018 starting Wednesday, July 11.

The reunion-style event presented by the Lees-McRae Alumni Association brings alumni and members of the community together for four days filled with activities and chances to meet fellow members of the college family.

Festivities include an ice cream social Wednesday night at the Alumni House and a visit to nearby Linville Falls Winery for a tour and tasting Thursday afternoon. On Friday, Frolic-goers can join in on the paint party before having dinner at MacDonald Dining Hall and a reception with newly-appointed President of Lees-McRae, Dr. Lee King, at the Alumni House.

Kick off the weekend Friday night with a block party featuring a DJ, campfire, games and refreshments also at the Alumni House.

The final full day of Frolic 2018 will include the Golden Heritage Reception, the class of 1953 65th reunion, the classes of 1967 and 1968 50th reunion, as well as a trip to Beech Mountain Ski Resort to take in the views. Visitors can take the shuttle to the 5506’ Skybar or stay below at the Beech Mountain Brewing Co.
