Frolic 2019 kicks off July 11

Join the Lees-McRae family in celebrating Frolic 2019 from Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, July 14.

Hosted by the Advancement Office, Frolic brings together alumni and friends for an exciting weekend packed with activities for the entire family. From service projects and learning workshops with faculty to live theater, we’ve got something for everyone. Catch up with old friends and meet fellow Bobcats, including the new Advancement team members.

Some of the events and activities offered include a wildlife presentation at the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, volunteer service projects with Feeding Avery Families, and a nature hike at the Elk Valley Preserve and Field Station among others.

Frolic attendees can also learn more about the rich history surrounding the college and the community with performances of Lees-McRae Summer Theatre’s From the Mountaintop: The Edgar Tufts Story. Showings are July 11, 12, 13, and 16 at 7 p.m., with additional matinee shows July 14, 16, and 17 at 2 p.m. Learn more about Summer Theatre and purchase tickets here

While visiting campus, take a historic walking tour and discover a new side of Banner Elk’s most important locations such as the Banner Elk Presbyterian Church, the gravesite of Edgar Tufts, the Historic Commons at Lees-McRae College, and so much more. Learn more about the walking tours here
