Online Human Services program ranked as one of the best in the U.S.
Noted for its “most transfer-friendly” programming, Lees-McRae was recently listed as one of the best U.S. colleges to receive an online degree in human services by higher education resource, Intelligent.
The college landed in the 29th spot among a total of 54 institutions, and out of 115 colleges assessed.
“The need for competent, compassionate human services workers is increasing as more individuals, families, and communities deal with the crises like the opioid epidemic, homelessness, and poverty,” according to the Intelligent website.
Rankings were generated primarily on course strength as well as cost, flexibility, and reputation, according to the resource.
Newly-appointed Assistant Dean of Natural and Behavioral Sciences and Program Coordinator for Human Services Jocelyne Bond shared her excitement over the recent ranking.
“I am very proud of the recent accolades awarded to our online Human Services program,” she said. “We have worked so hard to cultivate a high level of academic rigor, packaged in a flexible delivery model, and supported by a team of excellent faculty members in order to provide an individualized experience for each of our students in the program.”
