Online programs named to top ten list in North Carolina

In a recent ranking released by EDsmart—an independent resource for educational programs and affordability information—Lees-McRae online programs ranked among the top ten in North Carolina.

"As online college classes become more prevalent, it is important to recognize the colleges and universities that go above and beyond," said Tyson Stevens, managing editor of EDsmart. "Our goal is to highlight these schools and their commitment to higher education."

In order for universities to qualify for this ranking, they must be a public or private, not for profit institution and be a fully accredited institution.

Rankings were generated primarily on affordability, while also considering factors such as graduation and retention rates, according to the EDsmart release.

Lees-McRae offers online degree completion programs in business administration, criminal justice, elementary education, human services and nursing, as well as a master's of arts in teaching. To learn more about these programs, the admission process, and affordability, visit
