Outranking colleges across the country, both the MAT and online Elementary Education program receive accolades

Both the Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education and online Elementary Education program recently received ranking accolades from two websites that focus on highlighting the nation’s best online programs.

The first website—OnlineU—ranked the Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education No. 19 and the online Elementary Education program No. 10 in the nation for their affordability.

The second online degree ranking resource—Online Schools Report—ranked the college No. 17 in the nation for its online Elementary Education program.

Both websites formulated their rankings by taking into consideration student satisfaction, admission rate, return on investment, online presence, and department size among others.

“Not only is elementary education one of the most well-respected professions in the nation, but it also comes with a decent salary and gives you the opportunity to change the lives of children of all ages,” the Online Schools Report said. “Becoming a teacher is a lifelong dream for many, but you’ll need one of the best online [degrees in] elementary education to become one.”

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education creates highly qualified teachers who provide opportunities for the next generation. The program allows students with an existing bachelor’s degree the ability to combine graduate level instruction in education and specialize in one of three content areas—history, biology, or English.

The online Elementary Education program provides students a strong course of study that promotes the holistic development of individuals to become successful schoolteachers in the 21st century classroom.

Both programs prepare students for licensure in North Carolina public schools.
