The mountains are calling: Spring Open House set for April 25
Open House at Lees-McRae is the perfect opportunity to experience life as a Bobcat. You’ll have the chance to tour our historic buildings, classrooms, labs, residence halls, and athletic complex. You can also meet with our faculty and hear about our innovative academic offerings. Think of this as your one stop shop for learning about the education you can receive at Lees-McRae.
Our location in Banner Elk, North Carolina provides our students the opportunity to learn in ways you just can’t get anywhere else. So whether you dream to become a nurse, scientist, wildlife rehabilitator, performing artist, or entrepreneur (and the list goes on!), we can help you achieve your exciting goals and dreams. Not to mention the views are pretty incredible!
So go ahead, mark your calendar for Saturday, April 25!
So what should you expect during Open House?
Start your day in a few information sessions before setting out for a guided campus tour followed by the academic program information fair. There, you can explore majors and minors and meet with faculty. You’ll wrap up the first half of your day in financial aid and student life presentations—a great place to ask any questions you may have gathered from your tours and morning sessions!
The second half of the day is packed with optional activities that you can take part in. You can chat with an admissions counselor, learn some more about our most popular programs, and tour additional facilities both on and off campus.
Here’s what you need to know
With so much to do, places to be, and people to meet, Open House can feel exciting, yet overwhelming at the same time—we totally get it! Here’s what you need to know before you come to campus.
Our number one recommendation? Make sure you register. It’s super simple and only takes a few minutes of your time, but ensures that we know you and your guests are coming so we can prepare for your arrival.
Secondly—dress comfortably. You’ll spend much of the day walking campus and touring buildings, so make sure you’re wearing shoes and clothes that are easy to walk in.
Thirdly—know where to park. The Hayes parking lot across from the Cannon Student Center will be designated for Open House visitors.
We can’t wait to meet you and show you what life as a Bobcat looks like. We’ll see you soon!
