Vote Lees-McRae as the Top Adventure College

After taking historic gold in 2018 as the first small school and placing second last year, Lees-McRae will go head-to-head with colleges across the Southeast in the Top Adventure College contest to prove our outdoor programming is some of the best in the nation.

Hosted by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, this year’s competition includes 40 colleges and universities split into large and small school categories—20 in each. The competition is broken into four week-long rounds. As each week passes, five large schools and five small schools will be removed from the running based on the lowest scores. The final round, which will occur March 23–30, will see which school of the five remaining in each category will rise to the top and be crowned as a Top Adventure College.

According to Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, “The initial 40 colleges and universities were selected for their outdoor clubs and curricula, their commitment to outdoor and environmental initiatives, the quality of their outdoor athletes and programs, and their opportunities for adventure.”
