Academic Preview Days

Our programs are distinct—just like you.

Check them out for yourself and connect with faculty, students, and alumni. Spend the day exploring our innovative facilities and our hands-on approach to education. Participants will also take part in a campus tour, enjoy lunch in the dining hall, and have the opportunity to meet with admission and financial aid counselors. We think you’ll like what you see, but you don’t have to take our word for it. Discover why our students call this place home.

Wildlife Preview Days

This fall we are offering two visit opportunities specifically focused on our wildlife programs. These Wildlife Preview Days will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 20 and are designed for any prospective student who has an interest in our Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Rehabilitation, or Pre-Veterinary Medicine programs. Both visits will be limited to 24 students plus family members. Lees-McRae is nationally recognized for excellence in these areas of study, with numerous graduates moving on to careers as animal keepers, animal rehabilitators, primate keepers, veterinarians, wildlife directors, animal service officers, and educators.

During your visit, you will hear from faculty, staff, and students about all of the great opportunities available to you here. Visit our 70-acre Elk Valley Preserve and Field Station and the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, which cares for more than 1,500 injured and sick animals each year. The May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center also features a surgical suite with anesthesia and X-ray machines, where our students prepare for veterinary school.

Because these events have a limited capacity and are extrememly popular, because make sure you are fully committed to attending before you register. Both events will take place in person on our campus. Lees-McRae will continue to monitor health and safety protocol as the fall semester moves forward. We hope you can join us this fall.
