Ramp up the excitement with Spirit Week!
Starting Monday, Sept. 26, students will begin prepping for the Homecoming celebration with a week of festivities showing off their Lees-McRae spirit. Find the full list of Spirit Week events in The Den, and then follow along on Instagram at @leesmcraecollege and @leesmcraestudentlife.

Don Baker Recognition
1–3 p.m.
Evans Auditorium
Celebrate the Lees-McRae legend who served as Director of Public Relations and Alumni Affairs, Sports Information Director, Athletic Director, and Vice President of Informational Services during his 34 years at the college. Baker was inducted into the Fred I. Dickerson Hall of Fame in 2001.
Reunion for the Classes of ’60–’62
3–5 p.m.
Alumni House
Reminisce with your classmates during this reunion event that marks 60 years of being a Bobcat.
Tour of Campus
4–5 p.m.
Alumni House
Join a student ambassador for a tour of the campus! If you haven’t been back in a few years, you won’t want to miss connecting with a current student and seeing the exciting things happening at Lees-McRae from The Summit dining hall and Student Recreation Center to the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and South Campus at Grandfather Home.
Cheer Clinic
4–5 p.m.
Arthur Student Recreation Complex
Share the Bobcat spirit with the rising generation! This clinic, hosted by the Lees-McRae cheer team, is open to any elementary, middle, and high school-aged children interested in learning about collegiate cheer. The participants will perform on Friday at the Welcome Back Block Party. Register here
Welcome Back Block Party
5–7 p.m.
The Summit Dining Hall
The festivities will kick off with a party in the dining hall. Come enjoy a free fall-themed dinner and welcome this year's Homecoming Court! A surprise guest will make a big reveal.
Games and Fellowship (NEW)

Evans Auditorium
After dinner in The Summit, head to Evans Auditorium in the Cannon Student Center and join in some friendly competition against fellow Bobcats before the Football Watch Party. Beer provided by The Blind Elk will be available for purchase.
Lees-McRae Football Watch Party
7–8 p.m.
Evans Auditorium
Celebrate the historic football team through the decades by viewing recently digitized footage from the college archives. Popcorn will be provided as well as a special giveaway for all football alumni in attendance.

Blind Elk
Visit the new popular spot in downtown Banner Elk! Grab a drink and listen to live music while partying with fellow Bobcats.
Green and Gold Brunch
9–10 a.m.

Celebrate this year's recipients of the Alumni Awards, the induction of the Classes of ’70–’72 into the Golden Heritage Society, and the 60-year anniversary of the Order of the Tower.

Women's Soccer vs. Converse

Cheer on our women's soccer team against Converse University.
Men's Soccer vs. Converse
3:30–5:30 p.m.

Immediately following the women's game, the men's soccer team will challenge Converse.
Homecoming shirts will be available for purchase on Friday during the Don Baker Recognition and the Games and Fellowship, on Saturday before and after the Green and Gold Brunch and during the volleyball game, and on Sunday during the athletic events. Shirts are $15 each. Payment by credit or debit card only.

Alumni and other guests are invited to park in the Hayes Lot, Cannon Student Center Lot, the May School Lot, the Lower Chaffee Lot, and Chaffee Loop for events on Friday and Saturday. Parking is also available on Saturday and Sunday at the Fred I. Dickerson Athletic Complex for the athletic games and tailgating.
Shuttles between the North Campus, South Campus at Grandfather Home, and Athletic Complex will no longer be offered.
