Lees-McRae Homecoming

OCTOBER 4–6, 2019

Join your fellow Bobcats for a weekend celebrating the mountains we call home. From familiar faces to new friends, we’re coming together to honor the past, rejoice in the present, and dream about the future.

Help us launch some new traditions at Lees-McRae.

Welcome Home Block Party

Celebrate all things Lees-McRae on Friday evening with BBQ, music, dancing, and s’mores by the fire. The night will include a performance by Barefoot Modern featuring Tegan Dean ’21, presentation of the Homecoming Court, and special recognition of student-athletes.

Fireworks Display

After the soccer games on Saturday, help us conclude the day’s festivities in style—we’ll light up the night sky as we celebrate being a Bobcat.

The Spirit Package

We all know that Bobcats give back, but this year we’re making it easier. Introducing The Spirit Package—a fun way for alumni, students, and friends to pay it forward and show off their school spirit at the same time! All contributions to The Spirit Package go to student scholarships.

Each year The Spirit Package will feature new artwork by a guest artist. Designs will only be used once—with previous ones being retired to the Bobcat vault. You don’t want to miss out, because once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The Spirit Package for 2019 includes a collectible homecoming shirt featuring iconic Tufts Tower emerging from the snow-capped peaks of our mountain home. The college motto—In Montibus, Ex Montibus, Pro Montibus—is featured prominently on the shirt and other items throughout the set. This year we’ve included an enamel campfire mug, megaphone, and car decal perfect for Homecoming activities or displaying your Bobcat pride year-round.

Spirit Packages are limited, so it’s best to secure yours early. Pickup for advanced reservations and any additional packages will be available at the following times and locations during Homecoming:

  • Friday, Oct. 4 from 1–5 p.m. at the Needham Alumni House
  • Friday, Oct. 4 from 5:30–8 p.m. at the Welcome Home Block Party in Swank Park
