Lees-McRae Homecoming

Rescheduled to April 2022

Due to increased transmission of COVID-19 in Avery County, the state of North Carolina, and many other areas in the Southeast, Homecoming 2021 will be rescheduled for the spring semester. Our number-one priority is the health of our students and we have made this decision to give us the best chance of getting through this semester and the rest of the academic year safely.

The Homecoming weekend will have something for everyone! Catch up with classmates, cheer on our student-athletes as they take the field, and celebrate the mountains we call home. From familiar faces to new friends, we’re coming together again to honor the past, rejoice in the present, and dream about the future. We can’t wait to have you back on campus!

Milestone Reunions

This year, we'll honor the Classes of 2016, 2011, 1996, and 1971 with milestone reunions, in addition to all reunion classes whose graduation year ends in one or six! We would also like to offer support in coordinating gatherings for milestone reunions that were missed last year.

Interested in planning a reunion? Check out the Reunion Toolkit! For more information, contact Director of Alumni Relations Katie Talbert at 828.898.2489 or talbertk@lmc.edu.

Alumni Awards

Each year we honor alumni who have exemplified outstanding service and made incredible impacts in their endeavors. Award recipients will be recognized during the annual Green and Gold Brunch. In addition, we will also recognize the Captain's Class Agent Award for the reunion class with the highest percentage of giving participation.

Please use the form below to nominate an alumnus/a whom you believe deserves recognition through the Lees-McRae Distinguished Alumni Award or the Alumni Service Award. View previous award recipients.
