Bio
Lieutenant C.H. “Hal” Ingram has been successful throughout his 16-year law enforcement career. Lieutenant Ingram grew up in High Point, North Carolina and graduated in 1999 from Oak Ridge Military Academy in Oak Ridge, North Carolina where he played football. He attended and played football at Greensboro College. He transferred to Lees-McRae College where he played lacrosse and graduated in 2005 with a Communication Arts degree.
Lieutenant Ingram enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2005–2009, during this time his primary MOS was infantry. He served two tours in Iraq. He was a combat marksmanship instructor at Stone Bay, North Carolina after his last deployment to Iraq.
Lieutenant Ingram attended Basic Law Enforcement training in 2010. He was employed with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, where he worked as a patrol deputy. In 2013 he transferred to Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. During his time at Guilford County, he held numerous positions including patrol deputy, special operations, warrant squad, Sergeant over the Greensboro Court House, District One Patrol Sergeant, and a SWAT operator. He has received numerous commendations and awards throughout his career. He holds numerous instructor certificates including General Instructor, Specialized Firearms Instructor, Impact and Chemical Munitions Instructor, Taser Instructor, Civilian Response to Active Shooter. He also developed an Emergency Response Plan for both Guilford County Court Houses.
In 2024, he left Guilford County to move his family to Western North Carolina. He is married with two children.
