Professional Achievements

Aaron has been a professional ski and snowboard instructor for the last ten years. He has coached the Sugar Mountain snowboard team as well as the Beech Mountain Academy Program. Every winter, he helps out with the Race for the Cup youth program at Appalachian Ski Resort as well as the high school program sponsored by Cataloochee Ski Resort.

Aaron is a PSIA Instructor (Children's Specialist) and AASI Instructor (Freestyle Specialist).

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

Aaron serves as the Head Skiing and Snowboarding Coach.

Personal Interests

When he's not helping others down the slopes, he competes in the Sugar Mountain Race League and the USASA Men's Boardercross division where he finished fifth in the nation in 2018.

Aaron is the Head Brewer at Beech Mountain Brewery and lives on Beech Mountain. He enjoys hiking, paddling, rafting, climbing, and camping. Usually, he has his trustworthy companion Oliver (Ollie) by his side.
