Scholarly and Professional Achievements

Due to my previous professional work in law enforcement my areas of scholarly interest include police deviance, specifically what causes it and what can be done to prevent it. I also have an interest in studying the methods that show the most promise for substance use treatment.

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

I am the coordinator for the online Criminal Justice program. I serve on the Title IX Committee here on campus as well as on the ECOL Committee. I am the chapter advisor for the Lees-McRae chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the criminal justice honor society.

Additional Information

I started my educational journey later in life, but it has been a rewarding path for me. It is never too late—if you manage your time you really can handle your career, family, and social life and still get an education.
