Scholarly and Professional Achievements

With a banking career spanning over three decades, held a variety of upper management positions in accounting, finance, and treasury. Retired early from senior vice president of finance position at a global financial institution to commence a second career as a full-time faculty member in 2012. Prior to retirement, served as an adjunct professor for over 12 years at three different universities teaching coursework in accounting, economics, finance and management. Research interests include the exploration of the impact of organizational and career identity on employee engagement and the influential role of leadership in this relationship. Doctoral dissertation entitled “The Global Financial Crisis: Bankers Shaken, but Some Awaken.”

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

Starting recently at Lees-McRae, I look forward to utilizing my skills and experiences to enhance the performance of the students, the School of Business and our college.

Personal Interests

Teaching is a hobby for me, and I wish to have fun doing it. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my many years of work experience with the students. Thus, I guarantee to the students that they will get the two "E's" in my classes: education and entertainment!
