Scholarly and Professional Achievements
I have been an artist and educator for over 40 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Webster University in Education. I have taught all levels of art and design but have focused on higher education for the past 10 years. I also hold a MFA in Studio Arts. While my artistic training was in painting and drawing, I am skilled in all types of art creation from digital to sculpting.
My teaching philosophy is that I provide superlative education to students through my own artistic and teaching experience within an environment in which commitment to excellence is at the forefront.

Personal Interests
I moved to North Carolina three years ago starting my life teaching here. I now live in the mountains with my husband and furbabies! We have four children between us, two grown living in Missouri and two in high school here in North Carolina. I continue to create works of art and share my passion with others.
