REEL ROCK Film Tour 12 returns to Lees-McRae on Nov. 3

October 27, 2017

Lees-McRae College will host a showing of the 12th annual REEL ROCK Film Tour on Friday, November 3 in Evans Auditorium inside the Cannon Student Center.

An opening reception complete with information booths and local vendors will start at 6 p.m. with the film starting at 7 p.m.

The REEL ROCK Film Tour brings together those who share a love and passion for the outdoors to be inspired by amazing footage of climbers pushing themselves to the limit. The film features Margo Hayes, the first woman to climb a 5.15 grade climb; Brad Gobright, an up-and-coming free soloist with a donut addiction; the return of Chris Sharma to the deep water soloing stage, and more.

The event is free for all Lees-McRae students, faculty and staff and is open to the public with a $10 admission fee.

Banner Elk-based self-defense company, Hawk Empire, presents the Lees-McRae film showing of REEL Rock 12. Proceeds benefit the Catalyst Sports Boone Chapter and the Lees-McRae Climbing Team.
