Wellness
At Lees-McRae, we believe a comprehensive approach to achieving a healthier lifestyle includes eight wellness components: emotional, environmental, sexual, social, occupational, physical, spiritual, and environmental. Through our programs and outreach, we seek to empower students, faculty, and staff to continually explore multiple dimensions of health and wellness—and have fun doing it. For more wellness needs, make sure to check out our Counseling and Health Services.
Bicycling and Pedestrian Initiatives
One of our efforts to create an atmosphere of wellness on campus is to promote bicycling as a safe, fun, and healthy alternative to driving. Lees-McRae is proud to be recognized as a Gold Bicycle Friendly University by The League of American Bicyclists. Bicycling at Lees-McRae is an ideal way to get around, whether for exercise or transportation. By making it easier for students and employees to opt for biking or walking, we are helping to promote healthy practices for humans and the planet!
