Scholarly and Professional Achievements

My background is in secondary teaching of mathematics. I was a high school math teacher for six years in Wilkes and Caldwell County, before working in the college system. While teaching I decided to get an MA in mathematics. I was an instructor at Appalachian State University for one year before coming to Lees-McRae. My interests are in how students perceive themselves in a mathematics classroom and how this affects their performance in the class.

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

I currently teach Statistics and College Algebra courses at Lees-McRae.
