Lees-McRae advances to third round of Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Adventure College for 2023
Lees-McRae has advanced to the Round of 8 in the 2023 Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Adventure College Tournament. In 2020 the college secured the win in the best “small school” category, and this year is the perfect time to reclaim the title.
The tournament begins with 32 higher education institutions going head-to-head in a bracket-style competition with four rounds and a championship. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are encouraged to vote for the school with the best emphasis on outdoor and environmental clubs, curriculum, initiatives, and more, an honor all Bobcats know belongs to Lees-McRae!
Round three with the top 8 schools begins Tuesday, April 4, and will end on Monday, April 10. From there will be the Round of 4 before the tournament enters the Championship round from Tuesday, April 18−Monday, April 24.
In addition to helping Lees-McRae win this honor, by voting for the Top Adventure College, participants have the opportunity to secure a win for themselves as well. This year, participants will be entered to win a pair of Renegade GTX mid-boots and a pair of Merino-blend Renegade hiking socks to truly round out their adventure experience at their college. Two lucky winners will be chosen at random.
