Teton Gravity Research screens brand new snowboarding film for Lees-McRae High Country Adventure Film and Speaker Series
Teton Gravity Research, the action sports film production company, will return to Lees-McRae College again this year with two brand-new winter sports films as part of the college’s High Country Adventure Film and Speaker Series.
“Flying High Again,” which focuses on snowboarding, will be screened at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Beech Mountain Resort. With his new film, director Mike Hatchett seeks to highlight the best and most exciting parts of the sport in a mold-breaking feature-length film. Snowboarders and adrenaline junkies will love the up-close action, bird’s eye mountain views, and rowdy soundtrack of “Flying High Again.”
The second Teton Gravity Research film, centered on skiing, will play at the Beech Mountain Resort in January.
Tickets for the screening are on sale now, and discounts are offered for Lees-McRae students, faculty, and staff, as well as for Beech Mountain Resort employees and season ticket holders. Ticket proceeds will support the Lees-McRae ski and snowboard team, the college’s very own group of record-breaking and adventure-seeking athletes.
