
Lees-McRae College becomes only private college or university in North Carolina among top 50 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for 2025
With an Overall Rank of 32nd, Lees-McRae is the only private North Carolina college or university that has earned a spot in the top 50 of the 2025 U.S. News and World Report list of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs. The college made a significant leap on the Report’s list from last year, climbing 13 spots from its 2024 ranking of 45th.
In addition to this impressive overall ranking, the college’s online Business Administration program has earned a spot among the best of its peers for the second year in a row.
“Our improved ranking is a display of the college’s commitment to excellence and consistent improvement year after year,” Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Pamela Vesely said. “We take pride in the high-quality education and professional skills we are able to provide our students through our online and distance learning programs, and this ranking is a great way to acknowledge the excellence of our faculty and the success of our students.”
