Students achieve academic excellence despite a semester disrupted by natural disaster

461 students from the college’s main campus and online/distance learning programs completed the Fall 2024 semester with a spot on the Dean’s List, an acknowledgement of their strong academic performance amid a semester disrupted by Hurricane Helene. Students earn a spot on the Dean’s List for a given semester by being enrolled as a full-time student, earning no lower than a “C” grade in any course, and achieving a semester GPA of 3.5 or above.

In addition to being recognized on the Dean’s List, a subgroup of these students earned the additional recognition of a spot on the President’s List. 155 Dean’s List students met the more rigorous criteria for President’s List, which requires a semester GPA of 4.0 in addition to the Dean’s List requirements.
