Community Membership

A community membership pass includes access to the following areas:

Dotti M. Shelton Learning Commons has a vast collection of books, periodicals, and digital sources for a member to utilize. Community memberships exclude the use of digital resources in the library. Learn more

The Broyhill Wellness Center, located in the Cannon Student Center, features cardio equipment (exercise bikes, stair stepper, treadmill), Nautilus weight training equipment, and exercise balls for core training.

The Arthur - Lauritsen - Sanders Track provides a space for running and walking with a beautiful mountain view.

The Outdoor Tennis Courts are a great space to practice your tennis skills and enjoy the cool mountain weather.

The Rhea-Lyons Indoor Swimming Pool is located in the Williams Physical Education Center. 

Hours of Operation:
Monday: 8–9 a.m., 1–2 p.m., 6:30–8 p.m.
Tuesday: 8–9 a.m., 1–2 p.m., 6:30–8 p.m.
Wednesday: 8–9 a.m., 1–2 p.m., 6:30–8 p.m.
Thursday: 8–9 a.m., 1–2 p.m., 6:30–8 p.m.
Friday: 8–9 a.m., 1–2 p.m.

The pool will be closed during all college holidays and closures and from 6:30–8 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 22, 23, 29; Feb. 12, 18, 19, 26; March 17; April 8

Purchasing a Membership

To purchase a community membership you may set up an appointment with Justin Kitts or stop by the Student Affairs Office, located in the Cannon Student Center, and fill out the membership paperwork to receive your community member ID. The membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Online payments are accepted by e-check, MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express. A service fee of 2.7% is applied to all credit/debit card transactions. E-check/ACH transactions can be made with no service fee.
